San Francisco Mayor’s Inauguration. I attended the inauguration of
Mayor Gavin Newsom, at his invitation, on behalf of the Consulate of
Poland. |
Jan. 23 |
Meeting with the Consul General, Krystyna Tokarska-Biernacik.
I met with the Consul General in San Francisco to discuss plans for the
year and various projects. We finalized plans for the non-profit charitable organization. |
Jan. 24 |
Luncheon Meeting with Consul General and Silicon Valley Business Leaders. I organized a Lunch in Saratoga with prominent Silicon Valley business leaders. Afterwards, there was a party attended by the Consul General at the home of Bogdan Marcinkowski, a prominent Polish-
American industrialist, attended by many of the business leaders.

Polski Dom, SF, Program on the 150th anniversary of Polish National
Alliance Chapter in San Francisco. Attended a program at Polish House
and sat on the dais with Consul General and other Polonia leaders.

Private Lunch with Silicon Valley Businessman Adam Gregorczuk. One of a series of meetings with Bay Area Polish and Polish-American businessmen aimed at encouraging their involvement with Polonia and Poland. |

Meeting of Polish Honorary Consuls with Consulate Staff in Los
Angeles Attended meeting and seminars all day and evening at the home
of
the Consul General in LA intended to be training and introduction to the
Consular staff and duties, as well as leaders of the LA Polonia community. |
Feb. 21 |
Friends of John Paul II Foundation Ball, Marriott Hotel, Monterey, California. Attended this Polonia Ball along with Consul Radoslaw Wrobel.

Private Lunch with SF Trade Consultant Jeff Procak. One of many meetings intended to encourage trade with Poland. Mr. Procak is a Polish-
American who works in the field of import and export with Eastern Europe. |

Luncheon Meeting with Consul Sylvester Kozak and Business Leaders. I organized a Lunch in San Jose between Commercial Consul Sylvester Kozak and prominent Silicon Valley business leaders. Before the lunch, I met privately with Consul Kozak.
- Reception of Consular Corps with San Francisco Mayor at City Hall. I attended a reception at City Hall with Mayor Gavin Newsom, at his invitation, on behalf of the Consulate of Poland. I had an opportunity to meet and talk with the Mayor privately. I also received a tour of the Mayor’s office and City Hall from his Polish-American chief of staff, Steve Kawa.

of the SF Consular Corps. |

Private Meeting with Director and Founder of European American
Chamber of Commerce in SF. One of many meetings intended to
encourage trade with Poland. Mr. Hans Niebergall is a German National
whose organization promotes trade with Europe and the EU. Mr.
Niebergall is interested in organizing a trade mission to Poland. |

Meeting with the His Excellency, Ambassador Przemyslaw
Grudzinski. I met with the Ambassador at the Airport and brought he and
his wife to their hotel in SF. Remained in the Citya nd met with Consul
Roman Czarny, who accompanied the Ambassador. |

Luncheon Meeting with Ambassador and Jewish leader, Tad Taube. I attended a Lunch with the Ambassador, Consul Czarny and Tad Taube in Redwood City. Mr. Taube is the President of Taube Foundation, a group active in Poland, particularly on Jewish issues.
- Formal Opening of the Consulate with His Excellency, The Ambassador. Hosted the formal opening of the Consulate at which the Ambassador and myself gave remarks.

Speech of Ambassador at World Affairs Council, San Francisco. I attended the speech of the Ambassador at this venerable SF community affairs organization.

Polish- American who is a Vice-President of Bank of America. I
introduced Mr. Slawek to USPTC because of his interest in work with

Polish Heritage Day at the San Jose Earthquakes game.
Represented Poland at half-time ceremony at soccer game of San Jose Earthquakes for Polish Heritage Day at Spartan Stadium. Polish flags were brought on the field along with myself and Ms. Tomczykowska while the field announcer introduced us in honor of Polish Heritage Day. |
May 3 |
Flag Raising Ceremony at San Francisco City Hall. Participated in a formal flag raising ceremony at City Hall on behalf of the Consulate of Poland. I also met with the Mayor's Polish-American chief of staff, Steve Kawa. |
May 5 |
Reception for New European Union Members. Represented Republic of Poland at Ceremony honoring new EU members, World Trade Center, San Francisco. |
May 8 |
Polonaise Ball - Fairmont Hotel. Attended this Polonia Ball along with Consul General. Made a short speech and read a proclamation from the Mayor.

opportunities for investment in Poland. Former Governor Jerry Brown was also present. |

- Polish Church, SF, Program on the 60 th anniversary of Warsaw Uprising. Attended and spoke at a ceremony honoring veterans of the Warsaw Uprising. Represented the Consul General in presenting these veterans with awards.
- San Francisco Library, Program on the 60 th anniversary of Warsaw Uprising. Attended an exhibit and presentation at the SF library on the uprising.

San Jose Polish Day. Attended and spoke at a ceremony at San Jose
City Hall honoring Polish-American Day in San Jose, along with Consul
Paulina Kapuscinska . |
Sept. 24 |
Lunch and Program with former President Lech Walesa at
Commonwealth Club. I attended a reception for Lech Walesa and later a
private lunch with the President at the Fairmont Hotel. I also attended his
speech for the Commonwealth Club and sat with his son, who is a member
of his staff.

Meeting of Polish Honorary Consuls with Embassy Staff in
Washington DC. Attended meeting and seminars all day at the Embassy
intended to be training and introduction to the Embassy staff and duties. In
the evening, reception at the Embassy to celebrate Polish independence
day. |

Final Day in Washington DC for meetings with Consuls. Final
meetings and discussions with Consuls in hotel. |

- Meeting with Russian Consul Anatoliy Logachev. Meeting in my offices with Russian commercial consul to discuss general issues.
- Meeting with Russian Businessman Dmitry Gribanovsky. Meeting in my offices with Russian American businessman, head of RusArt Import and Export, to discuss trade with Poland and possible trade mission to Poland.

ceremony at San Jose City Hall honoring Veterans of the Warsaw Uprising
along with Consul General. Viewed the Consul General's exhibit on
Uprising on display at City Hall. |
